Marvin Earl Allen of Aynor, Horry County, South Carolina, enlisted on October 8, 1942 in Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. Marvin took some of his training at Camp Atterbury, Indiana before going to the European Theatre of Operations (ETO) and was a Pfc. in the 83rd Infantry Division, 331st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, H Company (Heavy Weapons).

While serving in Europe, Marvin was wounded in action (WIA) and lost to Hospital in Normandy, France (1944).
Morning Report of July 17, 1944 lists Allen, Marvin E. as of 16 July 1944 from LWA to transfered to 128th Evacuation Hospital in Normandy.

Marvin Allen died on January 3, 1956 and is buried at Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, Cool Springs, South Carolina.
