Pat D. DiGiammerino (#31228314) was born in April, 1919, in Malden, Massachusetts. He had a grammer school education and his occupation was listed as "Semiskilled chauffeurs and drivers, bus, taxi, truck, and tractor", and he was married. He lived in Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts until he entered the service as a draftee on October 30, 1942 in Boston Massachuusetts. Pat DiGiammerino served with the 83rd from Atterbury until the end.

After the war he had worked as a salesman in the hardware industry for many years. Pat DiGiammerino was a Past National President and local president of the 83rd Infantry Division Assosiation. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Italian American Citizens Club of Malden and a former member of the American Legion and ITAM Clubs of Malden. He was also a member of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge Assosiation.

Pat D. DiGiammerino a lifelong resident of Malden, Massachusetts, died at age 87 on May 2, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA. and is buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his wife Virginia "Ginny" (Gaetani) DiGiammerino, his sons Paul, David and Gary, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Paul DiGiammerino receives an honorary degree from the Cumberland University on behalf of his father, Pat DiGiammerino who participated in the Tennessee Maneuvers.
