Clyde Mowery was born on January 30, 1922, in Tennessee, to William and Rose Mowery. Clyde Mowery enlisted (#34379182) on October 24,1942 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. At that time he had a grammar school education, his  civil occupation was listed as " Semiskilled Miners, and mining-machine operators" and he was married.

Clyde Mowery died on January 26, 1989 at the Deacones Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio at age 67.
