This original leather holder belonged to Corporal Teddy A. Roberts and contains his Honorable Discharge Papers and his Enlistment Record. He also kept his Dog Tags, a shoulder emblem for the AA Command and the 9th Air Force, and a copy of his birth certificate are in this leather holder. The ribbons in the middle of the case represent the five medals Teddy Roberts received for his service.

Teddy Arlington Roberts was born on August 20, 1918, in Hur, West Virginia, to Malinda Gladys Reynolds and James Riley Roberts.
Teddy 'Ted' A. Roberts enlisted (#6944146) on June 16, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, with CASC Unit No. 1932, Quartermaster Section. After three years of service, he was honorably discharged on June 16, 1941. He re-enlisted (#39098437) on August 3, 1942 in San Francisco, California. He completed basic training at Camp Hullen, Texas, and was assigned to B Battery, 788th AAA AW Gun Battalion, continuing his anti-aircraft training at Camp Davis, North Carolina. He departed for England in August 1944.
Teddy Roberts served in the European Theatre of Operations with B Battery, 788th AAA AW Gun Battalion. As a member of this unit, Teddy Roberts took part in Operation Antwerp X. His unit departed Cherbourg, France on October 31, 1944 for vicinity of Antwerp, Belgium. B Battery arrived at Emblem, Belgium on November 2, 1944. Departed Emblem on December 18, 1944 and arrived at Hendrikvoort (Oelegem), Belgium, same date. However, the next day they left again in order to be deployed near Verviers from December 20, 1944, as part of the Ardennes Offensive.
Teddy Arlington Roberts married Elizabeth Louise Williams Cleland, who was divorced. He died on August 27, 1986, in Ostrander, Ohio, when he was 68 years old.
