The IX Air Defense Command was a specialized unit of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, constituted on 19 June 1944 and activated on 1 July 1944 under the Ninth Air Force to coordinate rear-area air defenses in support of Allied operations on the European continent.

The command played a pivotal role in countering V-1 flying bomb assaults on Antwerp from October 1944 to March 1945, achieving a 64% destruction rate of threats to vital areas through coordinated AAA fire from over 200 guns and searchlights, preserving the port as a crucial Allied supply hub with minimal damage estimated.
