About:

Walter S. Slusz was born in 1911 in Connecticut. He had a grammar school education and his occupation was listed as unskilled occupations in fabrication of metal products. He lived in Hartford County, Connecticut until he entered the service as a draftee on June 26, 1941. Walter Slusz would have been one of the early draftees as the war did not start for the US until after Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Since Pfc. Slusz was with the 83rd Infantry Division he most likely had his training at Camp Atterbury, Indiana in 1942.
Pfc. Walter S. Slusz was Killed in Action December 13, 1944 during the 329th actions in and around Gurzenich that day.
Walter Slusz was single without dependents but in the 1930 census he is related to Joseph Slusz (1913-1997) who also served in the US Army during WW2 as a Sergeant. There's also a Genevieve Slusz (1917- ? ) and Helen Rurka Slusz (1909 - ? ) both survived their brother Joseph.

If somebody has some more information on Walter, Genevieve, Helen or Joseph Slusz please don't hesitate to contact me!!
