Maurice Junior Brown enlisted on October 9, 1942 in Huntington, West Verginia. Maurice took some of his training at Camp Atterbury, Indiana before going to the European Theatre of Operations (ETO) and was a T/5 in the 83rd Infantry Division, 331st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Hq Company.
Morning Report of July 8, 1944 lists Maurice J. Brown as Seriously Wounded in Action (SWA) and transfered to 34th Evacuation Hospital in Normandy.
Morning Report of August 31, 1944 lists Maurice J. Brown as Assigned and joined from 48th replacement battalion to 331st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Hq Company.
After the war, Maurice Junior Brown was a truck driver and was married. He, died at age 42, on April 9, 1963, at consequences of melanoma malignant.
Maurice Junior Brown is buried at the Coal Fork Cemetery, Malden,
Kanawha County,
West Virginia.
