Clarence J. Balfe Jr. was born in Torrington, Connecticut on July 16, 1920. He was the son of the late Clarence and Katherine (Hayes) Balfe, he had lived his life in the Torrington / Winsted area. He enlisted on October 9, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Buddy was an Army veteran of WW II, member of the YMCA, St. Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus. His survivors include his sister, Kathleen Fradette of Winsted, several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Eunice Carl.

Clarence J. "Buddy" Balfe, Jr. 92, formerly of Winsted, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Valerie Manor, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Regina (Tate) Balfe who died in 1984.
