He lived in Albany, Rensselaer County, New York, when he entered the service on January 28, 1941. His pre-war enlistment (#32041387) leads to believe he later signed up for Officer's School or maybe received a battlefield commission.
From October 17-20, 1944 he was listed in the Morning Reports as being sick and dropped from his assignment.
