James F. Brennan was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 22, 1920 as the son of the late James F. and Bridget J. (Sharkey) Brennan.
James Brennan enlisted on October 12, 1942
in Providence, Rhode Island, served his country in the United States Army during World War II and fought with the 83rd Infantry Division. He was in five major battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded several medals for his courageous battle.
After the war, James "Jim" Brennan worked for Narragansett Electric for 35 years, retiring in 1985.
James F. Brennan, 95, of Cumberland, Rhode Island (formerly of Warwick, RI) passed away Monday, June 27, 2016. He is burried at the Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, Rhode Island. James Brennan was the husband of Dorothy (Terzi) Brennan to whom he was married for 61 years. He is survived by his children Bernadette David and her husband Michael of Woodbridge, VA, and Christine Duckworth and her husband Dean of Cumberland, RI.
