John H. Brouhard was born in 1908 near New Augusta, Indiana to Albert and Rosa Lee (Abrams) Brouhard.
John Harry Brouhard lived in Indianopolis, Marion County, Indiana when he enlisted the service (#15332591) on October 7, 1942 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. He served in the European Theatre of Operations (ETO) with the 83rd Infantry Division, Divisional Headquarters Company. He was the Divisional photographer and photographer for the Bounce, Spearhead and Thunderbolt, the Official Newspapers of the 83rd Division. On the right picture he is seen with his camera bag slung over his shoulder.
