Matt John Klosinski was born in Illinois on May 4, 1919 to the late ........... and .......... (Geroski) Klosinski. During World War Two he served with the 83rd Infantry Division as a member of C Company, 330th Infantry Regiment. His single bronze campaign star suggests he came in as a late war replacement and this is supported by his many late and post war pictures. Not much is known of his wartime service, only that he fought at the Elbe river and served occupation duty in Bavaria, Germany.
