After the War, he married Jacqueline Harrison on June 18, 1949. He attended East High, graduated from South High and attended both the University of Utah and Westminster College.

He was the owner and president of R.W. Marsh & Son, Inc, the first silk screen printing company in Salt Lake City, founded in 1934 by his father. The business expanded to include Technical Service and Supply (founded in 1969), where he offered invaluable advice to both experienced and novice screen printers throughout the intermountain west. Both companies are still in operation today. Roy was an avid golfer, fisherman, an exceptionally graceful skier in his younger days, and a lover of animals. His sense of humor, generous heart and willingness to help resulted in lifelong friends and a devoted family. He was a dedicated husband and father.
