Samuel John Dickey Jr., was born in Amborst, New York, on june 6, 1923. Samuel Dickey #34796441, enlisted on November 16, 1943 in Camp Blanding, Florida. During World War Two, he was a member of Company K and M, 329th Inf. Regiment. The Morning Reports from August 30, 1944, listed him as assigned and joined from Company K to Company M.

He was divorced in 1963 from his first wife, Ruth Colleen and married his second wife Rose Marie Rucker in November 1966.
