George Perrine was a 37mm Gunner who served in North Africa, Sicily and Europe (ETO). On June 9, 1944, reinforced by Company D of the 17th Armored Engineer Battalion, the 82nd Armored Recon Battalion landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy.
In Sicily and North Africa he was with Company C but joined Company B afterwards. He didn't make Belgium and Holland because he got wounded and ended up in the hospital. When he got back to the 2nd Armored he ended up in B Company again and staid with the company until the end of the war.
