''OORLOGSMATERIAAL MAG NIET VERLOREN GAAN''

Nog altijd duiken er bijzonder objecten uit de Eerste of Tweede Wereldoorlog op. Soms bij een verhuis, de sloop van een woning of simpelweg tijdens het opruimen van een zolder of een schuur. Variërend van een stapeltje brieven tot foto's, documenten of allerhande voorwerpen met een militaire achtergrond. Lang niet altijd wordt er gedacht dat deze 'rommel' nog steeds een historische waarde heeft. Elk voorwerp vertelt namelijk zijn eigen verhaal.
NIETS WEGGOOIEN is dan ook het motto aangaande voorwerpen in verband met de Eerste of Tweede Wereldoorlog. Binnen mijn collectie kunnen deze ogenschijnlijk waardeloze spullen een nieuw leven krijgen. Ieder item krijgt de nodige aandacht en onderzoek en kan vervolgens via deze website & het online museum met de wereld gedeeld worden. Hoewel hier het materiële voor de hand ligt mag ook de nagedachtenis nooit verloren gaan, ook naar verhalen uit de oorlogsperiode zal ik aandachtig luisteren & neerschrijven.
Heeft u dus nog voorwerpen, documenten, foto's, brieven, dagboeken,... uit deze periodes aarzel niet om contact op te nemen via jelthy13@skynet.be zo zorgen we er samen voor dat deze (tastbare) herinneringen aan de oorlogsjaren van 1914-1918 en 1940-1945 nooit verloren zullen gaan.

''WAR MATERIAL SHOULD NOT BE LOST''

To this day all sort of items dating to the war years of WWI or WWII still surface when moving house, the demolition of an old building or simply cleaning out an attic or barn. These finds vary between pictures, documents, letters, or any other military related items. Often it is forgotten this 'worthless junk' still has great value to any historian or collector, each item is still telling its story.
Don't throw anything out is the motto if it comes to these items that connect us to the First and Second World War. Within my collection these items will get the attention they deserve and after research they can be shared with the world through this website and its online museum. Off course, material items are first to come to mind but also the memory should never get lost. I will happily listen to & record any stories from the war period.
