Edgar Allen Smith was born on July 9, 1894, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Jemima and Alexander Smith, both born in Scotland.
Edgar A. Smith married Estella May Huntsman in Gibsonburg, Ohio, in 1918.
Edgar A. Smith (#2435536) enlisted in the Army on April 27, 1918 in Fremont, Ohio and was assigned to 158th Depot Brigade to May 2, 1918, than to Headquarters Company of the 332nd Infantry until discharge. He was going overseas on June 8, 1918 and saw action in the battle of Vittorio-Veneto, Italy. Edgar Smith promoted to Private First Class on July 1, 1918. He was Honorable Discharge on May 5, 1919.
Edgar Allen Smith died on September 27, 1971, in Toledo, Ohio.
