Pfc Walter Stanley Slusz

Walter Slusz was born on February 13, 1911 to Polish immigrants Stanley and Anna Slusz. On June 26, 1941, at age 29, he was drafted into the service and was send overseas as a member of the 329th Infantry Regiment.

Pfc Edwin Harvey Crabtree

C Company, 329th Infantry Regiment

Harvey Crabtree was one of six children born to Millard and Nancy Crabtree. He volunteered for the service on March 10, 1942 and was an original member of the 83rd Infantry Division at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

Pfc Raymond Earl Hayden

Raymond Hayden was one of ten children to Leon and Margaret Hayden. He entered the service at age 18 in 1943 and joined the 83rd as a replacement in Normandy.

George Cline was from Doran, Virginia when he entered the service. He joined L Company in October 1944 and left behind a young daughter when he wsa Killed in Action.
