Private Clarence W. Love

Clarence Walter Love was born on June 23, 1917, to Florence Anna Abberger (1894–1981) and Frank Wilde (1894–1947). He married Virginia Ruth Reese on August 31, 1940 in Rochester, New York.

Clarence W. Love lived in Rochester, New York until he entered the service as a draftee (#06872706) on September 9, 1943 at Syracuse, New York. The Morning Report of I/329 from October 16, 1944 listed "6872709 Love, Clarence W. (745 = rifleman)" as promoted from Private to Private First Class. His New York, Military Service Card, shown below (from Ancestry), summarize the service history of officers in the New York National Guard, the state militia, and possibly other military units. The card list the following details, name, ranks, organizations (units) and location of service history.

Clarence Love died on November 17, 2000. He was suvived by his wife Virginia Love (1918-2012).
