Gilbert Lawrence Wade, was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on March 17, 1926, to Winnie Maud (Stone) and James Pleasant Wade.
Gilbert Wade enlisted (#44036250) on August 28, 1944 in Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia. During World War Two, he was a member of Company B, 329th Infantry Regiment. The Morning Reports from March 10, 1945, listed him as assigned to Company I from Company B on march 8, 1945. He was discharged on July 3, 1946.
Gilbert L. Wade He married his first wife Gladys (Littleton) Wade (1924-1990), and remarried Lucille Mae (La Prairie) Wade (1940-2006) on June 9, 2000. He passed away on November 4, 2007, in Pinneville, Louisiana. Gilbert and Lucille are buried at the Richey Cemetery, Effie, Louisiana.
