Envelope identified to Frank F. Fullerton - HQ and HQ Company, 83rd Infantry Division

Original WWII Army envelope with a patriotic drawing 'I'm Working with Uncle Sam' dated January 27, 1943 and containing its original letter. The letter was sent by Pvt. Frank Fullerton to W.M. Grandy, New Haven, Connecticut. At the time this note was written, Frank Fullerton was at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. In the short note Pvt. Fullerton announces he has been discharged from the army and will be returning home.

Private Frank F. Fullerton

Frank Ford Fullerton was born on July 27, 1900 in Moris Cove, Connecticut to Susie E. Bostwick (1873–1953) and William Merton Fullerton (1860–1951). As the oldest of six children, he had three brothers and two sisters.

Frank Ford Fullerton lived in Short Beach, Connecticut when he enlisted (#31249093) in the Army on November 10, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut. He was with Hq and Hq Company of the 83rd Infantry Division at Camp Atterbury.

Frank F. Fullerton was never married. He died on April 5, 1998, in Manchester, Connecticut, when he was 97 years old.
