WW2 Enlisted Man service coat

Unidentified - 83rd Infantry Division

This is a nice unnamed 83rd Infantry enlisted men service coat. The jacket still has the original collar insignia including the early OD-border 83rd Infantry Division patch on the left shoulder. No other insignia were present to indicate which rank this soldier held. Inside the coat is written the laundry number C-3578, so far I have been able to match this with two soldiers. John R. Carter #37623578 and Lloyd R. Cunningham #42023578, both men served in Company G, 331st Infantry Regiment of the 83rd Infantry Division.
