Private First Class Edward C. Schober

Edward Charles Schober was born on September 29, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mildred I Dunker (1901–1970) and Henry Edward Schober (1894–1971).

Edward 'Ed' Schober enlisted in the Army on May 1, 1944, when he was 18 years old. The Morning Reports from January 2, 1945 list him as assigned and joined G/331 from the 92th Replacement Battalion. At that time, Company G was in the Battle of the Bulge, Belgium. For his service he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge.

Edward C. Schober died on August 16, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois, when he was 55 years old. His wife Rita 'Burns' Schober died on April 22, 2013, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, when she was 86 years old.
