Private First Class Floyd C. Barnes

Floyd Curtis Barnes was born on October 19, 1925 in Ironwood, Michigan to Edith E. Anderson (1901-1980) and Stephen Barnes, born in England (1902-).

Floyd C. Barnes enlisted the service in 1944 and in May 1944 he had his basic training in Camp Fannin, Texas. After 15 days of furlough in August he report on August 31, 1944 to Camp Housey, Texas, after that he was send oversees for the infantry. The Morning Report of Company G, 331st Infantry Regiment listed him as assigned and joined from 92nd Replacement Battalion as of January 5, 1945. On January 25, 1945, he was listed as Non battle casualty and transferred to 67th Evacuation Hospital. He was listed as assigned and joined from 18th Reinforcement Depot as of April 27, 1945. For his service he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Good Conduct Medal.

Floyd Curtis Barnes died on July 15, 2002.
