Floyd Edward Martin was born March 8, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio.
He joined the army on November 12, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio. From his World War II Hospital Admission Card Files, can we see that he trained in March, April and May 1944 as an Aviation Cadet before he was sent overseas as a rifleman and replacement. The Morning Reports from January 27, 1945 listed him as assigned and joined G/331 from the 92nd Replacement Battalion. For his service in WWII he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge.
Floyd Edward Martin died April 7, 1952, burried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
