George Albert McDavid was born on July 12, 1924, in Florida to Ruth Bevil (1897–1974) and Lonnie Marion McDavid (1894–1967).
George McDavid enlisted in the Army on December 17, 1943 at Camp Blanding, Florida. The Morning Reports from August 1, 1944 listed him as assigned and joined G/331 from the 48th Replacement Battalion. The Morning Reports from November 6, 1944 listed him as promoted from Pvt. to Pfc. For his service in WWII he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge. Discharged January 14, 1946.George McDavid married Charlotte Yvonne Lee in Alachua, Florida, on November 14, 1970, when he was 46 years old. They were divorced on April 9, 1974, after 3 years of marriage.
George Albert McDavid died on March 22, 1990, in Alachua, Florida, when he was 65 years old.
