Jerome Robert Kopitsky was born May 11, 1926 in Ranshaw, Pennsylvania to John Kopitsky (-1963) and Catherine Jacobski (-1929).
On September 25 1944, Jerome 'Jerry' Kopitsky enlisted into the Army in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Morning Reports from April 30, 1945 listed him as assigned an joined G/331 from the 86th Reinforcement Battalion. For his service in WWII he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge.
Jerome Kopitsky was a Retired Master Sergeant in the Army and served also in the Korean War.
Jerome Robert Kopitsky, 83 of Hanover, formerly of Ocean View, New Jersey and Shamokin, Pannsylvania, died January 21, 2010, at the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. Husband of the late Emma 'Wolf' Kopitsky.
