John Lawrence Krummack was born on September 14, 1921, in Ravenna, Nebraska, to Johanna Mae Siebert, his Austrian born mother, (1877–1960) and Joseph Francis Krummack (1867–1949). John Krummack married Genevieve Cyrilla Tomandl in Saginaw, Michigan, on November 8, 1941, when he was 20 years old.

On August 31, 1944, John Krummack enlisted into the Army in Detroit, Michigan. The Morning Reports from April 30, 1945 listed him as assigned an joined G/331 from the 86th Reinforcement Battalion. For his service in WWII he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge.

John Lawrence 'Jack Buzz' Krummack passed away on June 16, 1990 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was preceded in dead by his lovly wife Genevieve 'Jean or Gene' Krummack (1923–1974).
