Sergeant Vincent A. Vesel Jr.

Vincent Anton Vesel was born on 6 April 1921, in Minnesota, United States, to Frances T. Champa (1903-1944) and Vincent Urah Vesel (1888-1968), Yougoslavia immigrants.

Vincent A. Vesel enlisted on December 7, 1943. The morning reports from January 1, 1945, listed Vincent Vesel as assigned to AT/329 from the 97th Replacement Depot on December 25, 1944. Anti-Tank Company of the 329th Regiment was in the vicinty of Eilendorf, Germany at that time. For his service he was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the European African Middle-Eastern Campaign Medal.

Vincent Vesel married Gertrude Mary Zollar on 21 October 1950, in Tower, Minnesota. He died on June, 21, 1997 and is buried at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota, survived by his wife Gertrude 'Gertie' Vesel (1928-2017)
