William Robert Waymire was born on August 8, 1921 in Dayton (Vandalia), Ohio to Florence L. Kley (1900–1988) and William McKinley Waymire (1894–1975).
William Waymir's Draft Registration Date is on February 16, 1942 in Montgomery, Ohio, so he enlisted in the Army in 1942. The Mornig Reports listed him as assigned and joined from 86th Replacement Battalion as of July 16, 1944. For his service in WWII he was awarded, among other decorations, the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Good Conduct Medal.
William Waymire married Velma L. Hertsel. He worked for 33 years at NCR and for 28 years as a security guard at Pinkerton. William Robert Waymire, 97 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2019 at his residence, he is preceded in death by his wife Velma (1922-2010).
